Start of the best year of my life

Bonn <> Shenzhen

Goodbye is a word I never want to learn in every language. It is yet another goodbye this year. I guess I am lucky to have something that makes goodbye hard. Sometimes it is a little too difficult, but it also means that the times before the goodbye was good.

2014 has been the best year in my life so far and I’m in love with everyone I’ve met. Thank you for all the memories, adventures and love shared. I can’t imagine that 2015 will be more awesome than 2014, but I’ve got a feeling it will be.

We will meet again my loves. Till then, I will always love you.

Love always,
L

Photo: Half of the crazy family in Germany and the other half in China reunited via Facetime. Not in picture: Vanessa showering, Valentin setting the table, Mischka by the fireplace, Fabio missing as usual. And after this picture was taken, we had a super awesome dinner with European and Asian food and 5 nationalities by the dining table.

Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree ❤️

Singapore

Prost through the phone, just like always. In a blink of an eye, another year has gone. Another year of kimchi’s birthday that brings us together. We’re not on the same rooftop this time but we are at least in the same screen! 365 days of adventure and I can’t wait for the next 365 days 😘

Ps. Distance is a bitch but I love you no matter the distance.

Love always,
L (beef)

Singapore

I love the fact that Singapore has 365 days of summer. Hello November <3

Experiences redefine expectations.

Johor Bahru, Malaysia

I am awfully greedy; I want everything from life. I want to be a woman and to be a man, to have many friends and to have loneliness, to work much and write good books, to travel and enjoy myself, to be selfish and to be unselfish… You see, it is difficult to get all which I want. And then when I do not succeed I get mad with anger.

DEUTSCHLAND!! May I teleport to Germany now

Hong Kong

1 year ago, I bought a 1-way ticket and it’s the best decision in my life yet.

Arriving in the unknown land of dimsum, all I knew was that there’s lots of dimsum. I remembered mid-autumn; and met, arguably, the most important person during my journey. That person who taught me the spirit of yoloness, adventure and travel. And the same idiot who missed his very own farewell party. Hope you’re having fun in 5°C of crazy weather as you “chase down the aurora”.

Then came more people who left footprints in my life; who inspired, changed and challenged me. (Early morning hikes after 3 straight nights of lkf is not cool but I did it). And of course the carnegies-nights where we have professionals by day and hiphop dancers by night.

Of course not forgetting the love and care by the “godmother”. Ensuring heaters in winter, BBQ parties (and awesome wine) and the adventures together!

Lastly it’s the crazy family I found. Rooftops, parties & f.dich

It’s been a year since those adventures happened. It sucks to be back here in Singapore when everyone is not. Autumn & winter will never be the same again. Nonetheless, I’ve now gotten a 1-way ticket to 4 years in university. I don’t know what will happen but I’ll hope for the best. 😊

Danke dir

Singapore

Timezone sucks, distances suck, being apart sucks.

I miss you all so much. Those rooftops, weekends at V’s (& F’s), the endless cans of tsing dao and tons of fick dich 😜 I hadn’t fully registered that I’m officially going to be in Singapore for the next 4 years. It just seems like a really long weekday and I can’t wait for Friday night to meet you all back at wanchai again for dinner with a dozen of tsing dao, fun and laughter and unlimited hugs and kisses. Ending my orientation camp made me realise that we’re really in separate places right now.

The sun that is going to set now in Singapore, is the same sun that is setting in Hong Kong. The exact sun is currently at it’s highest in Germany and Italy and will be rising soon in US.

No more weekend hikes, no more exploring new places, no more crazy camping, no more “kein Bier vor vier”, no more German, no more fick dich suka, no more diuuuuu, no more da pai dang, no more crazy apartment parties, no more German games.

Quoting what juong said, “you are never alone. We are always where you are. Look in your heart”, we are never too far away. Counting down to the time we meet again. In the meantime, good luck with all the universities, jobs and travels. I’ll always be here for you.

💕

What would I do without you all?

I love you all and wouldn’t trade any one else for any of you. With love from theBeef

Hong Kong

There’s something ever so mesmerizing about sunsets; like how there will be sunset everyday, like how everything eventually comes to an end, like how tomorrow can always be a new start.

Hong Kong

Day 17. Nothing is happier than a video chat with across 3 countries. We finally found a common time that suits the time difference. Yay have a great day ahead (for the 2) and night night (for the other 2).
Also, the other missing 2 will be kicked out of the family, for putting stupid Macklemore ahead of online family time.

Full family dinner ❤️ too much laughter in a day
