Of Winter | February 2016

You are here: Home / Life / Of Winter | February 2016

February 28, 2016

Another action-packed month in 2016. The month started with the the largest festival of this period: Carnaval. I was feeling extremely greedy because I wanted to experience Carnaval in different places, so I had 1 day in Maastricht, 1 day in Bonn and the last day in Cologne.

After missing my buses and trains, I finally made my way through France. Apparently Tuesday is the worst day to party in Lille, but somehow we manage to be back at 7am. Well, I missed my bus and train.

Nantes was extremely beautiful with its clear blue skies and beautiful sunshine. The beach in Tharon was also beautiful as we went oyster hunting.

Never have I imagined that I would be running around Paris at night, without my coat, to all the different monuments there. Although I was completely ill one day, I managed to catch a beautiful sunset with the Eiffel Tower and saw Mona Lisa! (tbh, I think my selfies are better)

The adventure moved to the political capital of Netherlands: The Hague. And also a trip to Delft, which I am completely obsessed with.

It snowed in Maastricht, followed by weird combination of weathers: super sunny, extremely windy, bitter rain. Nonetheless, I found a day to visit St. Petersburg in Maastricht, the highest point in Netherlands.

The month ended with a trip back to Utrecht, where I rediscovered the city under the sunny blue skies.

It is, indeed, an adventure of a lifetime.

And do you know what I’ve learnt? My life can never be this awesome without my incredibly awesome friends and people I met along the way. Thank you for existing ♡

Love,
L
