Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic. — Frank Herbert.
I am in this quote and I do not like it!
I pride myself in being a logical and rational individual. I surprise myself when I accomplish things despite emotional upsets. The reason why I got into what I do now is because deep down, I think there is a logical sequence, flow and algorithm to the way of life.
Maybe the reason I keep feeling random pangs of burn-out is because I try to rationalise find logic in how the universe works. Maybe, just maybe, the universe is always one step ahead.
In my reflections and failures as I try to figure out the algorithms, I just learn the nonlinearly of life. Something you can't model, no R^2 can explain nor can you find a normal distribution to predict the next occurrence.
This is funny because this book — the secret teachings of plants, is kinda opposite from my other book — Reminiscences of a Stock Operator.
Anyhow, I'm glad that the universe is always a step beyond logic. Logic is my floor, and my model is not perfect, but may it be less wrong.
