Stars and Planet

“On the other planets, they look up and wish upon you. Because on the other planets, you live on a star.” -I wrote this for you
1.5 years ago, I wrote that I’d look up at the stars, wishing I could be somewhere else. (I had just moved back to Singapore from Hong Kong.) Under the same sky, I’d be doing what I truly love. Fast forward 1.5 years later, I looked up at the stars, thanking them for answering my prayers.
There’s something about nature that humbles one. I like to look up at the skies above, wondering what’s out there, far beyond our universe. It still gets incredibly overwhelming to take in the beauty of this world – the people, the culture, the nature, the beautiful coincidences. I could not help but smile at the blanket of stars above.
Northern Thailand
Growing up in a city that never sleeps (#lightpollution), the ability to see a blanket of stars is incredibly rare. I think the first time I saw stars the way poets describe, was in the mountains in the North of Thailand. We lay down between the trees and admired at the stars above. It was a feeling like no other. Just like climbing mountains, all troubles seem insignificant and all worries disappear with each twinkle of the stars.
Idiots in China
My favourite star moment is in China. We were 2 idiots squeezing in the sleeping bag in the park of Shenzhen. It was cold af but under the thick blanket of stars, everything was alright. We even woke up to the sunrise covering the city of Shenzhen.
BBQ and Luexmbourg
This time, I was under the blanket of stars in Luxembourg. We were camping by l’Our river, surrounded by the lush and dense mountains. My friends were barbecuing while I was running around, taking amazing pictures.
Because to the other planets, you are a star.
Love,
L
